EXPOSITION DUMP:

The Estate, a lunar base on Retcon-6, is home to a team of nine scientists led by Orator Buckles, an inventor turned philanthropist turned astronaut turned megalomaniac. His son, Rayon, lives within the confines of the base, along with the children of the other scientists. Each of these children are roughly the same age. Each of these children were born on The Estate. Each of these children will die on The Estate.

WHAT'S WRONG WITH DAD?

On the day before Rayon's 9th birthday, his father suffers a psychological break while investigating the caverns beneath the surface of the harvest planet Dover. Orator ingests an unidentified toxin which devours his consciousness. His psyche recoils. He succumbs to the catatonic void. He sings a song about it. This show is delightful!
